Summit Elementary School, located at 1100 10th St. NW, is a vibrant learning community serving approximately 370 students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Our school combines foundational education skills and project-based learning with a strong emphasis on STEM instruction.
At Summit, we foster excellence by setting high academic goals and empowering students to take ownership of their learning. Leadership is cultivated through student voice, cooperative work, and public showcases of our discoveries. We also value community, forming meaningful partnerships with organizations such as Arts in Stark, Girls on the Run, YMCA of Stark County, United Way, and other community-based groups that support our students and families.
Students have access to a variety of extracurricular activities and after-school programs. The 21st Century After-School Program provides additional academic instruction, parent engagement opportunities, and activities that promote positive youth development. Our partnership with Girls on the Run focuses on physical health and emotional well-being for young girls.
Every day, our staff is committed to inspiring confident, creative, and open-minded learners, ensuring that every student at Summit has the opportunity to thrive.
